Research Seminar – this Thursday – 6 December

On 6 December – this coming Thursday – the department of Art History, Film and Visual Studies is holding the last Research Seminar of the Autumn Term, with a session held in conjunction with the Centre for Cultural Modernity.

We are welcoming not one, but two, speakers this week: Dr Nadia Valman (Queen Mary, University of London) and Dr Dominic Williams (University of Leeds).  Both speakers will be exploring representations of Jews in literature, with Nadia’s paper, A Ghetto of Voluntary Formation: Israel Zangwill’s Whitechapel and Dominic’s paper, The Split Man and the Crowd Master: John Rodker and Wyndham Lewis.

Please come along for this highly anticipated seminar which will be taking place in the Barber Lecture Theatre, The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, 5pm.
